In June 2008 we took part in a new Lincoln Artists' Market scheme to encourage tourism in the Cathedral quarter of the city.  Nicki Gardner from the Lincoln Business Improvement Group (BIG) contacted various artist groups in the county to showcase at the first event. The siting of the "Art on the Hill" art and craft show on Steep Hill was adventurous and insane.  Fortunately Nicki and her team had designed some inventive craft fair stands, that could be adapted to suit the very steep gradient of hill.

Lovely figurative work and knitted designs from a talented costume designer. Strange mix of the macabre and the beautiful.

Delicate brush strokes in a delightful range of edible colours; I was thinking of the patisserie paintings in particular.

The Steep Hill in Lincoln has a quaint collection of shops and boutiques and leads up to the Cathedral quarter with a magnificent Cathedral and Castle.
