Art on the Map is a Lincolnshire Open Studios programme that runs over four weekends in May and June.  This year we were able to run a tile making work shop that was part funded by Arts Nk. The design involved a montage of images and material based on Waddington village and Lincolnshire and includes the Red Arrows sky writing the Art on the Map logo in the sky.

Many adults and children spent at least an hour carefully drawing out and decorating each tile, until eventually all the pieces were completed.  The tiles were then stored flat for several weeks to dry. Once the work was biscuit fired, the tiles were then painted in stoneware glazes and then fixed and grouted on to the outer wall of the Zoo Workshop and Gallery.
